CeltFest 

Spending the summer with family at our cottage on the picturesque shores of Mississippi Lake in Ontario is a cherished tradition that fills our hearts with joy. As the sun-drenched days unfold, we relish in the tranquillity of the surrounding nature and the precious moments shared together. We wake up to the soothing sounds of loons and enjoy lazy breakfasts on the deck, savouring the breathtaking view of the lake. Our days are filled with laughter and adventure as we embark on boating excursions, paddle along the calm waters, and catch frogs in the pond. The kids eagerly dive into the lake's refreshing water, building sandcastles on the beach and splashing in the water to their heart's content. Evenings are spent gathered around the bonfire, sharing stories, toasting marshmallows, and revelling in the simple pleasures of family time. It's a summer retreat that strengthens our bonds and creates lifelong memories.

 But our family tradition doesn't end there. As summer break draws to a close, we embark on another adventure—a two-week trip down south. It's a much-anticipated journey that has become integral to our family's summer narrative. With a sense of excitement, we pack our bags, bid farewell to the cottage, and head towards the southern US. The excitement builds as we reach our sun-kissed destination, greeted by palm-fringed beaches and warm ocean waters. Our children's faces light up with sheer delight as they rush toward the inviting waves. The beach becomes our playground, a place of endless joy and discovery. Sandcastles are built with utmost dedication, seashells are collected as treasured mementos, and the entire family relishes in the simple pleasures of creating memories together. Whether swimming, snorkelling, or simply basking in the sun's warmth, our time at the beach nourishes our souls and strengthens our family bond.

As the summer ends, we return from our beach adventures with a renewed sense of connection and a treasure trove of shared experiences. Our time at the cottage on Mississippi Lake and our beach escapades down south weave a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished moments. These family traditions, embracing the beauty of nature and the joy of the beach, serve as anchors in our lives, reminding us of the importance of togetherness and the beauty of creating lasting memories as a family.
